Come to think of information technology recently I no longer become the feeling in my stomach anymore when I ride anything. The adrenaline gets going some, but on so many coasters the sensation is just relaxed and I could sleep.
Do you become the awareness anymore and if so on what ride? I think I demand to try something new or is something wrong with me.

I am an air addict. Typically, the coasters I dearest take good air and manage to trigger that feeling in my stomach.
But it is rare for me to become it anymore. I discover myself trying new tricks to get the tickle in my tummy. Peculiarly on drop rides. Hellivator and Drop Zone at PKI still manage to go me, simply I have to not hold on and hold my legs straight out. I am getting more and more immune to Drop Zone each time I ride. I have learned to permit my body get limp to enhance the senstation of falling.
But on coasters information technology is especially rare. It is not unusual to become immune though. I discover that the get-go of each season gives me the best "butterfly" sensations until I have ridden a few times. Being out of practice over the winter months commonly heightens it for at least the offset few rides.
What is really odd is that I detect more and more that a lot of people differ in the amount of "butterfly stomach" they become on different rides. Something that may really tickle my tummy may not affect yous at all. It is all in passenger perception.
For example... This may seem silly, merely I really got that feeling the first few times I rode the back of the train on Rugrats Runaway Reptar at PKI. Virtually recollect it is quite passive, but my first few times off the elevator really gave me a tickle. I tin can't imagine what the kids retrieve!
The only ride I can name that gets me everytime I ride is undoubtedly backwards Racer. I must have ridden it a million times and it still gets to me. I expect that is why it rates so high in my book.

I've lost that butterfly feeling . . . by Zimm at v/21/01 ane:06:52 PM

I commonly don't get that nervous feeling anymore. Sometimes for a few seconds as the train starts to descend the first drop (if its a big drop), but not even all the fourth dimension. Afterwards the first driblet, my fretfulness (if I had any) are pretty much gone. I even so go a rush on a lot of rides, such equally the starting time half of Alpengeist, but I don't become the "butterfly stomache" you are talking about. That is the main thing I miss about coasters and a principal drawback of riding a lot. I don't even ride tons of coasters similar others on this board, but I've still lost that butterfly feeling(:0). I don't run into how some people can ride a ride all day or hundreds of times and not get bored.
I'm sure that when I go on Batwing the first time I will get the feeling, especially at the top of the lift hill when the railroad train turns effectually so you face down.

Although I don't get "collywobbles", I practice get a wonderful feeling of apprehension whenever I approach a coaster I accept never ridden for the first time. From the first time I run into information technology until the concluding brake run, I look forward to the unknown.

Like the posters before me I have to say that information technology's a rare occurence and the price you lot pay for riding so much. On the plus side drop rides, in detail Intamin 1st Gens and Gyro-Drops both withal go me which is probably in big function because I try and ration out my rides on this type to insure I don't get acclimated to them like I am to coasters. Still, at that place are certain times when a ride can "get me" similar the Magnum did final twenty-four hour period of the season at night last year and the backwards Racer does a nice task as well considering of the unexpectedness of every drib. Ditto for the Fable/Raven at night, once again because of the surprise factor.

I guess I am a big WEENIE crusade I just almost have panic attacks! I love coasters and I am obsessed with this website all summer and most of the winter (for previews of new stuff) but I have to take nerve pills on the manner to the park! I fifty-fifty ate one in line for Drib Zone (with no drink) I was and then nervous...I almost didn't become on....I could not swallow when I sat in that seat!! But I loved it and rode it again later that night. Equally the days wears on it'due south non and then bad but I do still go really "nervey". AM I nuts or what?

I posted the same topic a while back on the SFMM y2k boards.
No, I don't usually become that wonderful feeling anymore. Yous aren't the just ones that get immune to information technology. The things that still get me are annihilation that comes every bit a surprise, something I didn't look.
A good example was my ride on Viper last yr (SFMM). Back in '99 when I first went on Viper it was so incredibly rough that all I remembered experiencing was headbanging. So I decided to give it some other endeavour in 2000, and I firmly mounted my head against the headrest and didn't headbang once! The ride was incredible as I had never really experienced it before, the batwing and double corkscrew were both wonderful, for some reason I seem to like Arrow'south inversions more than than B&Ms even though they are rough, maybe its because I oasis't been on many Pointer loopers.
Drop rides still give me the feeling, well at least they had better, I haven't been on one in at least four years. They scare me pretty badly and I don't ride them much, I'm going to go on Supreme Scream this summer and I hope its an crawly ride!

You aren't solitary. I absolutely love roller coasters, but go me on the new i the first time and I'm practically a nervous wreck. I call up its the "What if" sort of feeling of dread just before the ride I've never ridden. And so one time I've ridden it I question myself equally to why the heck I was so nervous! So its running dorsum and riding it once again as many times equally humanly possible for the rest of the day!

I used to get "butterflies" on every coaster--no thing now minor and now I don't get them at all :*( Wish I could make that feeling come back! I do get very nervous before rides that are sudden like launches and drops though!
